I really didn’t know what I was going to read honestly. Most rappers who have autobiographies find another way to sell their fans something. This book was different. It’s a short read, but the concept of the book is put together pretty clever. The way Gattie articulates his points definitely show he has a future in the literary world. I’m not sure if he intended for people to go back and listen to some of the songs he highlights in this book, but it worked for me. I’m definitely a fan of his music more then ever. Dope book!

This book really took me back down memory lane. If you were raised in the nineties and early two thousands, you will love this book. Gattie’s very detailed in his writing approach. It really feels like your there with him. My only complaint is, it could have been longer. It’s a good quick read. I just wanted more after I read it. I can’t wait for the next one.

I thought the book was good. I can understand the 48 laws of power comparisons. His approach was different when it came to autobiographies. He questioned his own judgement at times and that was honorable as well as candid. I definitely want to hear more of his music now. It hits way different.

I couldn’t put the book down. I’ll admit, I stereotyped “Gattie Tha King” because he was another rapper. But after reading this, I realized how important rap artists LIKE HIM are. He actually watches what he says. While most lack a vocabulary and use four letter words in every line, it was refreshing realizing he rarely uses them or doesn’t in most of his music. This book made me instantly want to give it to my nephew. This is a perfect guide for the youth coming up. He breaks down every scenario in life. Whether it’s financial strain, coming of age, confrontation, love & relationships, or parenthood he holds nothing back. Glad I bought it.
